It's the day after Christmas, and we woke up to a winter wonderland in middle Tennessee! We are bummed to not be able to get in some sledding action, but that's okay because we are going to PERU today! (Where it is Summer)!

The airport is surprisingly calm, and we sit here in disbelief that it's time to the road again. We have been so spoiled at our family's houses these past 2 months, but had a much needed visit and low-key holidays.

Now hopefully this blog can return to it's normally-scheduled program.
We'll see you on the other side of the Equator!

It's a tiny bit of a white Christmas here in Tennessee...but it was really snowy on Monday a few weeks back!  Ethan and I were, of course, enthralled with it and went for a walk.

Today is my beautiful mother's birthday!  We have had a celebratory weekend, fitting for such an awesome lady.  I am SO happy we were able to be here to celebrate with her!  I normally miss her birthday because we can't fly in until the day before Christmas.

And today I am exactly half her age. That is kind of blowing my mind...the fact that she's now known me half her life, but she had an entire other life exactly the length of my current life before I was born.  Ha, confused yet?  Woah... Maybe I need more coffee.

Today we are taking our 7th and final exam in the series of Architecture License Exams...this is what our world has looked like for the past 3+ weeks (above).  We have been working on these exams for the past 2 years, and are SO READY to put this painfulness behind us (and to be licensed architects already)!  If anyone reads this blog (hello, anyone?) then please cross your fingers and say a little prayer today.
